To International Students Interested in Joining Our Lab

Our laboratory conducts research primarily in operating systems, computer security, network security, and computer networks. We welcome students who can contribute to these areas. Why not join us in advancing our research in a safe, culturally rich, cosmopolitan, and urban environment?

We prioritize applicants who intend to pursue a Ph.D. program. For master’s students, we give special priority to those who plan to pursue a Ph.D. and those who have already published research papers.

  • Master’s Program
    • Spring and Fall 2027 intakes: closed
    • Spring and Fall 2028 intakes: will be decided around May 2027
  • Doctoral Program
    • Our lab is open.
    • Please submit your application according to the application guidelines (https://www.ritsumei.ac.jp/gr/en/). Pay close attention to the application schedule and allow plenty of time for your research proposal to be reviewed.

Scholarship

Letter of Provisional Acceptance

  • In general, we do NOT issue letters of provisional acceptance.
  • You don't have to attach a letter of acceptance when applying for the MEXT Scholarship. After passing the initial screening at the Embassy, please apply for admission to our laboratory through the relevant department at Ritsumeikan University. We will then issue a letter of acceptance through the relevant department. You don't need to contact professors directly.
  • If a letter of provisional acceptance is required when you apply for the scholarship, please get in touch with us with an explanation about this.
